#summersnaps day eight & nine – weekend edition

A free weekend {with no work days, gasp!} is made for pure laziness. Hence the late post & slightly boring snaps.

day eight

daisy

I am v grateful for grandparents who helped to weed the garden while they were visiting last week. These front yard flowers appreciated it as well!!

day nine

board game night

I am also vvv grateful to have couple friend groups to hang out and play board games with. Yay friends!

#summersnaps day four, five, and six

Family time = tired Margaret! Here are the snaps from the last three days…

day four

family reunion

My lovely grandparents just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They are truly an inspiration and the most wonderful people you will ever meet!

day five

Drinking an iced turmeric ginger latte out of one of my fave mugs is a fab way to end a looooooong day.

day six

pour over coffee

I had a rare day off, so I got to slow down and make myself a delicious pour over. This is what fuels all of my photo editing!!

#summersnaps day two

I had an exciting busy day today!!

My family {grandparents, aunt & uncle, cousins} came into town today for our partial family reunion. They’ll only be here for a few days so we’re savoring every minute.

I had a photo shoot scheduled with a friend today, and my cousin Lev here has been getting into photography a ton lately {he’s so smart & picks things up so fast!} – so I invited him along to the shoot! He did an amazing job helping me pick spots and poses, and used reflectors to fill in the natural light while I was shooting. Can I fly him in from Israel for every single photo shoot please??

Plus, he takes really great photos himself – I can’t wait to see what he does with his natural creative talent.

day two

I have a billion & one photos to edit in the upcoming days, but today’s snap is of Lev when we were testing out the light at various locations!

#summersnaps – day one, 2017 edition!

Whee, I’m doing this again!

Last summer, I decided to take a photo with my camera every single day. And I just about did it! The hardest part was finding time to edit and upload them to the blog every single day, especially while traveling.

I loved it so much last year, and have decided to do it again this year! Of course, I sort of forgot it was summer, so it’s a little bit of a late start. But better July than never!

{I was trying to figure a way to differentiate last year’s posts from this year, so I’m doing the hashtag thing. Hopefully it’ll be clear enough!}

day one

My family is in town!!! They’re visiting for a few days for the 4th of July. I’ve got even more of my extended family arriving Sunday, which is wonderful. Yay family.

sunset

Aaaaaand a beautiful sunset on the drive back from Yellow Springs. Ah, summer.

See you tomorrow!

Summer snaps – day FIFTY!

So yes, it’s not really summer anymore, but it’s still hot and the leaves are still on the trees so I’m gonna do one last summer snaps post!

Summer snaps – day forty eight

So many books, so little time!

Today I went to a clearance sale for the Half-Price Books store. They had so many books that they held it in Wright State’s big arena! It was a pretty good sale – but it took me a few hours to find good quality books I was interested in. They were $2 each, which is awesome. Some of them are for a project for book club, so I’ve read a few of them. Check out my haul!

Summer snaps – day forty seven

#weirdattemptsatpoetry

Days off include indulgence:

sitting on the dining room bench

cats in my view

– curled up and snoring –

on the table I have

smashed avocado toast

with crunchy salty flakes.

Coffee from a trip to Canada

– no apologies for the cream and sugar –

ripe plums sliced for snacking

phone playing witty podcasts.

All the while,

lists on my mind –

things to do

things to do

— THINGS TO DO —

But for now –

sweet indulgence.
