Hello there, dear readers & people that I actually know in real life! I love you all!
This is going to be like those beginning-of-the-year icebreakers that everyone actually hates, except I’m the only one talking and it doesn’t suck.
I’ve picked up a few new followers over the past few months & thought it was about time to do a proper introduction of myself.

And what better way is there to do that than dumping a bunch of random {and some fun} facts out onto the interwebs? I can’t think of anything, so here goes!
- Currently, I live in Dayton, Ohio, but I grew up in Arlington, Virginia.
- I’m a military spouse – my husband is in the Air Force, which is what brought us to good ol’ Dayton.
- I have one older sister & she is awesome & I keep accidentally following in her footsteps! {Women’s Studies major, feminist, work at a library…}
- I really love cats. I have three.
- My favorite genres of books are memoirs & middle grade fiction.
- Ice hockey is my favorite sport to watch – specifically the Washington Capitals!
- I went to Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where I studied Early Childhood Education and Women’s & Gender Studies.
- I have traveled to 5 different countries.
- One of my fave hobbies is photography – specifically portrait & travel photography.
- I’m currently working at a coffee shop AND a library & I love them both!
- Recently, I’ve become sort of obsessed with LuLaRoe clothing. {yes I know I wrote a whole long blog post on why MLMs are sucky but I really like the way the clothes fit me ok??}
- I’m a feminist.
- I really enjoy making lists!!
- Someday, I would love to own a coffee shop/bookstore combo.
- I got married at the age of twenty two.
It was a wonderful decision.
- Milk & Cookies {by Ben and Jerry’s} is my favorite flavor of ice cream.
- People always ask me if I go by anything other than Margaret, but the answer is always no. Apparently, it’s rare to find Margaret’s who don’t go by a nickname these days!
- I’m afraid of heights.
- I’ve never broken a bone, but I did once fracture a finger while trying to pull my sister UP a hill in a sled. Classic fourth grade hijinks, right?
- The last book I read was Frazzled by Booki Vivat.
OHHHHHH, we’re halfway there…
- I freaking love coffee.
Can you tell??
- I’m DEFINITELY not a morning person, but I’ve always wished that I could be.
- I’ve been blogging off & on for about 4 years.
- My husband & I haven’t been on our honeymoon yet – instead we had a “honeymove” that included Uhaul trailer & a lot of driving!
- My fave hashtag to use on Instagram is #whollyme – so far it’s mostly just me using it, but I’d love to see more people posting with it!
- I love watching YouTubers of all kinds – beauty gurus, food channels, comedians, vloggers, you name it.
- One of my goals for 2017 is to read 24 books. I’ve read two so far!
- I’m a Gold Award Girl Scout, and a lifetime Girl Scout as well.
- I have seen all of the seasons of Friends all the way through about 8 times. I’m not exaggerating.
- My Hogwarts house is Hufflepuff.
- One summer during college, I lived and interned in Dublin, Ireland. I miss that country every day.
- I collect Rae Dunn mugs. It’s kind of a problem.
- Unlike a lot of ladies, I really don’t like taking baths.
- I used to have a shop on Etsy where I sold handmade hair ties and bracelets. I think I still have the shop listed as “vacation mode” from about 3 years ago, ha!
- I love to bake, but I don’t do it very often because I usually end up eating ALL of the baked goods.
- When I was a kid, I wanted to be a meteorologist because I loved weather.
- One of my favorite authors is Mo Willems. He writes the Pigeon series of children’s books!
- My husband took my name when we got married.
- I’m chronically over-involved. I was on the executive board of multiple clubs in college and now I’m on the board of the local Air Force spouses group. I can’t help myself!
- If I have money to spend, I will probably spend it on coffee or makeup. #priorities
There you have it – forty VERY random facts about me.
I hope those were enjoyable to read! Major props to you if you made it this far. I used to think I had no interesting or “fun facts” to share during class & icebreakers, but based on this list, I’m doing just fine.
NOW – tell me a random fact about yourself! Seriously, try to be as random & specific as possible. None of those “I live in this city” or “My favorite animal is a dog” basic AF facts. I want the real good stuff. Comment below!!
Now I want to do a list and give a shoutout to you ❤ Sorry again about the finger fracture incident! 😂
